With the New Year coming, we celebrate new beginnings.
We are excited to announce a new initiative to help companies transform their businesses through sustainability. Read the Air is a coalition of practitioners dedicated to reimaging how business works. The pressures on companies today to improve their role in society are tremendous, from heightened customer expectations to new scrutiny over supply chains, from the dangers of climate change to policy shifts that are placing new obligations on businesses.
The UN's Sustainable Development Goals are a rallying cry for forward-looking companies to more deeply embed sustainability into their business models. There are businesses that heard this call before the SDGs were even launched, and we applaud them for their vision. Now, with the SDGs, others have a clear framework to reevaluate their strategy and shore up their operations.
We see the SDGs as enabling businesses to mitigate risks of all kinds and identify new opportunities for growth, while also helping them tackle some of the most difficult issues facing society.
